Sri Lankan Food

The main food in Sri Lanka is rice, and the cuisine is known for its rich spiciness. Rice is grown locally, and it is prepared from paddy and eaten as the staple food. People typically have three main meals a day based on rice.

During the Sinhala and Tamil New Year, special traditional foods such as Kiribath, Kavum, and Kokis are prepared.

In addition, many foreigners visit Sri Lanka and are highly attracted to tasting these traditional foods.
